John Tucker Vaughan

???? - 1852


Biography

  1. Illegitimate but acknowledged son of Hon. Samuel Vaughan (q.v.). He was an overseer for much of his life but at the time of his death was leasing the Sunderland estate on Montego Bay. A Freemason, it was reported that over 100 people followed his coffin to the church for his funeral. He was initiated into the Friendly Lodge in Montego Bay 29/04/1850.

  2. John Tucker Vaughan, planter of Hamstead, and Ann Taylor had a son, William Stennett Vaughan, baptised in St James, 03/01/1849. John T. Vaughan was buried in St James, 03/01/1849 age 37.
