Biography
- Will of John Trent of [Clarges Street] St George Hanover Square proved 02/05/1786. In the will he left his aunt Rebecca Knight an annuity of £50 p.a., £20 to his servant Ann King and £60 each to his five relations and friends (James Phipps of Peterborough; Samuel Estwick of Berkeley Street; Abraham Cumberbatch the father and Abraham Cumberbatch the son both of Barbados, and Stephen Welch of Bath) who were appointed executors. The rest of his estate went to his son John Trent (q.v.). If John Trent the son died, the testator left £2000 each to Samuel Estwick, to the testator's nieces in Barbados Ann Sandiford and Jane Welsh, to Laurentia Lavine of Barbados relict of Isaac Lavine, and his residual estate to his four Cumberbatch nephews, Abraham jun., Lawrence, Edward and John.
