London merchant, partner with Lewis Chauvet: the pair, of the Old Jewry, were bankrupt in 1778. Turquand appears to have recovered from his bankruptcy, forming a new partnership in London with James Grigson [sp?], mentioned in Turquand's will, made in 1783 and proved in 1785. In the will he acknowledged the earlier bankruptcy and set he had set aside a fund to meet his private debts.
