Son of John Buckmaster senior and heir of his uncle Samuel Buckmaster (both of whom q.v.), after the inferred death of his brother Samuel. Probably the same man as the John Buckmaster of Burton Crescent Middlesex whose will [made in Boulogne in 1820] was proved 08/01/1822. The will does not mention Jamaica property but among the executors was John Wibergh [sic] Shaw of Elmslie & Shaw [q.v.].
