- Will of David Laing of Harley Street proved 27/11/1800. In the will, which was an elaborate trust will for his wife and [unnamed] children, he said that the Peters' Valley coffee estate had been conveyed to him as purchaser, that it had been intended for his brother John Laing, to whom he had lent £5000, but that he now regarded the estate as his.
