Magdalen Hall, Oxford, 04/06/1818 age 19; Ensign 03/03/1814 in the 100th Regt. of Foot (renumbered in 1816 as the 99th); A.D.C. to George, 8th Marquis of Tweedale; Lieut., later surgeon in the 99th Regt. Buried at New Battle 10/10/1838 age 40. Married Isabella, daughter of George McGowan of Galloway Hill, Jamaica, 08/11/1832.
