  1. Of River Head Estate, St David, Jamaica. M.D. from Edinburgh University. Buried at Boulogne, France, 30/12/1856 age 77. 'His first wife, who died s.p. 1819, was the daughter of _____Despard of Golden Square.' Married secondly Elizabeth Dillon Rosina, daughter of David Byron Davies of New Battle, St David.

  2. Matriculated at the University of Glasgow in 1793; graduated M.D. from the University of Edinburgh in 1799. Third son of Richard, a merchant in Jamaica.
