1779 - 1825
Widow of Christopher Senior Lawrence born Senior (q.v.).
Sarah Fussell Slocombe, baptised at Bristol St Thomas 24/01/1775, the daughter of William Slocombe (1747-1821) and Sarah Fussell Slocombe (1745-1834). She married Christopher Senior Lawrence at some point before 1808. Proof of this shows up in the will of Sarah's first cousin once removed Jemima Glubb Webber nee Slocombe (proved 1830). Jemima made Sarah's son Christopher Senior Lawrence junior the third in line to inherit Dean House and Farm, the Somerset seat of the Slocombe family from at least 1579, and described him as “the grandson of my late cousin William Slocombe, deceased, and which said William Slocombe was the son of my late uncle Robert Slocombe, deceased, the brother of my father Thomas Slocombe, Esquire, deceased.”
Sarah's sister Jemima died in St Anne, Jamaica, in 1810. Her death notice in the Gentleman's Magazine gives their father William as "of H.M. Customs, at Bristol."
Christopher and Sarah Senior Lawrence had at least three children baptised in St Anne: Mary Lawrence (1808-), Christopher Senior Lawrence (1809-1855) and Sophia Olivia Lawrence (1811-). The will of their son Rev. Christopher Senior Lawrence was proved 24/07/1855 and mentions his property in Jamaica. His memorial inscription in Ashton Priors reads: "In memory of Christopher Senior Lawrence, of Tripoli, Jamaica, and incumbent of Ash Priors with Cothelstone, who died 27th April, 1855, aged 45 years".
Sarah Senior Lawrence of Clifton was buried at St Thomas Bristol 04/10/1825 aged 49.

Will of Jemima Webber, Widow of Bishops Lydeard, Somerset, PROB 11/1776/284. Further information from Galen R. Wilson about Sarah's father William and grandfather Robert: "William Slocombe was baptized at Bishops Lydeard, Somerset, 27 Nov 1747, the son of Robert and Mary Slocombe. Robert was already living abroad when his father, Thomas Slocombe, signed his will in 1761 (PCC, probated 1765). He refers to Robert as being 'beyond the seas.' In fact, Robert married a second time in Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1760 to Faith Shurtleff, moved to Liverpool, Nova Scotia, and fathered 9 children by her before dying in 1781 on a privateer off St. Kitts." Jemima Slocombe was baptised at Bishops Lydeard 17/10/1759, daughter of Thomas Slocombe. Her father Thomas was baptised there in 1718 and his brother Robert in 1723.
