1734 - 18th Dec 1807
Born 1733 or 1734. William Rhodes James II and his wife, Juliana Wisdom, had at least six children, including William Rhodes James III (q.v., who predeceased William Rhodes James II), Charles Thomas James (1762-1771), Elizabeth Gallimore James (1765-1769), Henry Wisdom James (1759-1795), Juliana Wisdom James (1763/4-1822), and Mary Rhodes James (1758-?). William Rhodes James II was also grandfather to William Rhodes James IV (q.v.).
William Rhodes James II's inventory in 1808 showed assets of £16,286 2s 6d, but his remaining enslaved people were mortgaged to the Wedderburns, and his Fontabelle estate with the enslaved people attached to it had been put up for for sale by the Wedderburns in 1805.
