Biography

Part owner of the Morant estate in Jamaica. His mother Charlotte was daughter and co-heir of Charles Kent (q.v.).

  1. Dalby, Thomas Septimus, s. John of Hurst Berks., arm. BALLIOL COLLEGE Matric. 08/08/1754 aged 19, bar.-at-law Inner Temple 1759.

  2. Will of Thomas Septimius [sic] Dalby of Hurst Kent [sic] proved 28/05/1790. In the will he confirmed the settlement of his estate in Jamaica for life on his wife Josepha, and afterwards to his children if any, and then to his three sisters. He described the Morant estate, in which he owned 1/6th, as owned by Mrs Jennings and Mrs Thompson, Henry Jennings and Mrs Dodwell, in addition to himself.
