Born in Aberdeenshire in 1786, died in Horfield, Gloucestershire, 04/11/1852. Major in the 92nd Regiment of Foot. Severely injured in Egypt under the command of Sir Ralph Abercrombie early in his career. Served in the Battle of Waterloo. The will of Peter Wilkie, late Major in Her Majesty's 92nd Regiment of Foot, Barrack Master at Horfield Barracks near the City of Bristol of Gloucestershire, was proved 30/11/1852.
Living at Shiel, Brecknock, in the county of Brecon, Wales, in the census of 1841, age 54, with wife Eliza age 39 and children Annabelle age 9, John Lunan age 7 and Arthur Alexander age 5. Living at Horfield Barracks in the census of 1851, age 64, born Aberdeen, with wife Eliza age 53 and daughter Annabella age 14 (or 19?) both born in Jamaica.
Anna Maria Wilkie and Arthur Alexander Wilkie were baptised in St Catherine, Jamaica, in 1830 and 1836 respectively, parents Peter Wilkie and Eliza Wilkie.
