Biography

Merchant in Kingston, and father of Simon Taylor of Jamaica and Sir John Taylor (both of whom q.v.).

  1. Patrick Taylor was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 433 acres of land in St Catherine and 881 acres of land in St Thomas-in-the-East, total 1314 acres.

  2. Mortgagee-in-possession of the estate of George Delapierre in St Thomas-in-the-East, Jamaica, 1752-3.
