Sir Archibald Bogle

1805 - 1870

Claimant or beneficiary

Biography

East India Co. servant. Son of Andrew Bogle (q.v.), who in his will (made in 1838 and proved in 1839) conveyed to him his [the testator's] share in Dunkley's. Andrew Bogle did not appear in the sharing of the compensation for Dunkley's in 1835, but an Archibald Bogle did: it is possible that Andrew Bogle had assigned his right to the compensation to his son.

  1. Sir Archibald Bogle, a Major-General in HM's Indian Forces, died 12/06/1870 at 90 Westbourne Terrace, leaving £30,000.
