???? - 1855
London merchant and insurance broker, director of the East India Co. In correspondence with the Compensation Commissioners (where he appears as J. Petty Muspratt) he asserted a mortgage over the enslaved people on two estates in Jamaica (Prospect Hall, St Ann no. 4 and Hall's Delight Port Royal no. 8) without apparently submitting a formal counterclaim: both these estates were registered to Joseph Jackson.
