Partner in Rickards Mackintosh, which failed in 1833.

Will of Robert Dent of Bishopsgate Street proved 16/04/1835. The will, made in 1831 before the failure of his firm, left his stake in the estate and mines of Arva in Colombia to Thomas Wilkinson of Fitzroy Street, subject to payment of the balance of the purchase price: he also pledged to Wilkinson to pay any indebtedness he owed him out of Dent's share in Rickards Mackintosh. Everything else he left to his wife Charlotte.
