23rd Dec 1790 - ????
There are probably two Foster Marches, one who was receiver of Hayfield in St Catherine, 1815-1820 and another who was born 23/12/1790 and baptised 28/03/1790 in St Catherine, son of Mary Louisa William Thomas Matthews, a 'free mestee'. This second Foster March might have died young - he had a brother Foster Henry March baptised in St Catherine, 02/07/1810 who later appears with his siblings as joint owner of enslaved people in St Catherine. Nonetheless the second Foster March might conceivably have survived and in fact been the Foster March who was agent to the other children of Mary Louisa Willis Thomas Matthws 1823-1826. There is much overlap between the functions of the two Foster Marches and the first one might have been the father of all of Mary Louisa William Thomas Matthews's children. The second Foster March would have been too young to act as receiver of Hayfield Pen in St Catherine in 1815, so this is assumed to be the first one. All estate connections have been added to the first, eldest Foster March. See http://www.ucl.ac.uk/lbs/person/view/2146649467.
