Slave-owner in Jamaica, dead by 1773, bequeathing his Hope estate in St George to three natural children, Ann, Margaret and William.

Slave-ownership at probate: 19 of whom 9 were listed as male and 10 as female. 0 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £1370 Jamaican currency of which £1370 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £0 currency debts and £0 currency plate.

  3. The will of George Galloway of St George, planter, was proved in Jamaica, 20/05/1773. He bequeathed 4 enslaved people to Ann Allardyce, a "free mulatto" woman who lived with him. According to his will, his three reputed children with Ann were to receive 200 acres of land each.

  4. Ann, "a Quadroon, supposed child of George Galloway of St George's", baptised in St Mary, 07/10/1767.
