Son and heir of Isaac Gale of St Elizabeth (q.v.),
Isaac and John Gale were listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owners of 180 acres of land in St Catherine. John Gale junior was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 300 acres of land in St James.
Will of John Gale [now in] London [made in 1757] proved 03/08/1758. He willed that his own debts and [less usually] those of his late father Isaac Gale of St Elizabeth and late mother Dorothy Gale be paid, and left the rest of his estate to his three sisters Dorothy Foster, Jane Isabella Fisher and Catherine Hankey as tenants-in-common. His executors were his brothers-in-law John Fisher and Jos. Chaplin Hankey, and Roger Drake and Beeston Long.
