Thomas Bower of Bristol
Profile & Legacies Summary
???? - 1809
Biography
Shown as assignee of John Tindall and Thomas Green, planters, in the claim for Inglewood. The attorney for his niece corresponded with the Compensation Commissioners in 1840.
- Will of Thomas Bower merchant of Bristol proved 20/11/1809. In the will he instructed £10,000 to be raised for the children of his brother John Bower. Given that legacies of £100 each to two local parishes at Braunton in Devon and in Bristol remained unpaid for some years, it is not clear that this legacy was honoured.
