Biography
Slave-owner on St Kitts. Dead before 1817, with a will (which has not been found by LBS) dated 26/02/1810, but not further traced to date.
- In indentures of 19th and 20th July 1831 Thomas Lynch of Ballinasloe [Co. Galway] and Sally Jane his wife sold to James Edward Ash Sadler of St Kitts a one-fourth part of a 500 acre estate on St Kitts devised under the will of James Sadler made 26/02/1810 for a bond of £1300 with interest at 41/2%. They also sold the three enslaved people Statira, Roxanna and Pompey and all their interest in the personal estate of Edward Canes [sic] as executor of James Sadler.
