Elder sister of James Waddell junior and daughter of James Waddell senior. Of St Andrew's parish, Edinburgh, when she married Hugh Hay Rose in Edinburgh in 1822. Inherited a share in Collins' Green Pen on the death of her father between 1823 and 1826. Two children baptised in St Andrew, Jamaica: Mary in 1824 and William Cumming in 1826.
