Promoted Captain, St Andrew Regiment, 16/08/1815.
In 1815 he and his wife, having failed to make payment to William Fairclough (q.v) of sums due to the estate of the late William Green (q.v.), were ordered in Chancery proceedings to remedy such default, failing which there would be sold the plantation or settlement of Florence Hill with the slaves, stock and premises thereon as subject to a mortgage dated 22/04/1805. The proceedings had been consolidated with a similar claim made by John Wedderburn (q.v.).
