Biography

  1. Owner of 138 acres of land in St Andrew, Jamaica, in 1753, of which 120 acres was woodland.

  2. Possibly the Hurst Timberlake who was born 31/10/1738 and baptised 26/12/1738 in St Andrew, Jamaica, son of Emanuel and Elizabeth Timberlake, although this would make him only 15 years of age when he owned land. Richard Timberlake and Hurst, his brother, sons of the late Emanuel Timberlake, gentleman, in Kingston in Jamaica, were enrolled at Manchester Free Grammar School, 12/10/1751.

  3. Hurst Timberlake married Elizabeth Goring 08/05/1768 in Charmouth, Dorset.

  4. Third notice served for Hurst Timberlake, formerly of Lyme Regis, late of Weeks Court, both in Dorsetshire, planter, a prisoner in the Kings Bench, Surrey.

  5. Hurst Timberlake died at Fleet Prison and was buried in St Andrew, Holborn, 05/06/1783.
