Biography

Slave-owner in Antigua and early purchaser of land in Dominica. He left £1000 currency to Louisa Weatherill of Antigua, one of the daughters of Stephen Blizard, and £1000 to his niece Indiana Talbot. He left his unnamed estates to his daughter Harriet, who later married Thomas Oliver. In Dominica, Byam Freeman had been the original purchaser of St Joseph Lot no. 71 (235 acres).
