Biography

Henry Gale, deceased was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 16510 acres of land in St Elizabeth.

A family genealogy gives him as Henry Gale of Saltspring and Tennants in St Elizabeth, son of Jonathan Gale II and his wife Eleanor. Member of Assembly for Westmoreland in 1722 and for St. Elizabeth in 1726. Died unmarried before 1741. Saltspring became the property of the Senior family and Tennants passed to Henry Gale's nephew, also called Henry Gale.
