London merchant, mortgagee of the estates of Michael Scott (q.v.) on Grenada. Under his will proved 12/08/1774 he left his property to his sister Ann Algehr for life and her children if any, with remainder to his cousin Josias Wordsworth of Wadsworth (q.v.). His will did not specify the slave-property, and it passed by default under the wills of Samuel Wordsworth, Ann Algehr and Josias Wordsworth to Josias's daughters Dame Mary Kent (and her husband Sir Charles Kent) and Ann Verelst of Aston Yorks. widow, who were parties to a deed of 1800 with the heirs of Michael Scott.
