Son and residuary heir of Benjamin King of St Kitts (q.v.). His own will - of Taplow, made in 1786 and proved 20/03/1794 - is silent on 'slave-property'. He left £1000 to each of his children and the remainder of his estate to his wife Mary.
PROB 11/1243/139. Vere Langford Oliver More Monumental Inscriptions p. 131 shows the marriage of Joseph King of St Kitts to Mary Giles, daughter of Daniel Giles later Governor of the Bank of England, as well as his death at Taplow in 1793.
