Biography

Son of John Ross of Arnage in the parish of Ellon, Aberdeenshire. John Ross settled originally in East Florida c. 1767-1784 as a 'plantation factor' and then moved to Dominica c. 1784.

  1. Will of John Ross [son of John Ross of Arnidge [sic] in the parish] of Elton [sic] Aberdeenshire proved 02/06/1787. He left his property to his sister Christian and commended to her care the two infant children whom he had sent to her in 1782.
