1721 - 1811
Naval officer who died according to his entry in the ODNB owning 'the house and estate of Bassingbourne Manor, Takeley, Essex, and a plantation in Antigua.' The plantation was Clare Hall (formerly Skerretts and Nugents): it appears that Peter Parker had advanced £6000 out of the £18,000 purchase price when the estate was sold by Oliver Nugent to Robert Skerrett c.1765, and in 1776 Peter Parker moved to foreclose and took possession of the estate. His grandsons Sir Christopher Parker 5th bart. (1792-1869) and Sir Peter Parker 2nd bart. (1785-1814) also both have entries in the ODNB as naval officers.
