Brother-in-law of Edward Long, and nephew of Lord Mansfield. He had married Susannah Charlotte Ellis (nee Long), who had received £2500 under the will of her father Samuel Long of Tredudwell and inherited an annuity of £1200 p.a. from her first husband George Ellis senior (q.v.).

A cover note outlining the contents of the document.
