Biography

English clergyman, the son of Elizabeth Susannah Jones (q.v.) and Robert Burnet Jones (q.v.), from the latter of whom he received £5000 in vivo.

  1. Adm. pens. at QUEENS', May 6, 1808. Of Middlesex. Matric. Lent, 1809; B.A. 1812; M.A. 1815. V. of Burley, Rutland, 1819-68. Erroneously called Joseph in Crockford, 1860-8. Resided subsequently at Cheshunt Lodge, Horsham, and disappears from Crockford, 1874. (Cant. Act Bk.).

  2. Will of Rev. John Applewhaite Jones late of Burley Vicarage Oakham who died at Cuckfield Sussex 09/10/1876 proved 28/10/1876, effects under £6000.
