Biography

Daughter of John Cussans (q.v.) and a co-beneficiary of £5000 secured on Amity Hall under the will of Thomas Cussans II (q.v.). In her will she specified that she owned enslaved people on Amity Hall rented to her brother Thomas Cussans III for £404 p.a.

  1. Will of Jemima Cussans spinster of Hill street Berkeley Square proved 03/11/1828. She left in trust the enslaved people whom she owned on Amity Hall and rented to her brother Thomas Cussans for £404 p.a. to her aunt Catherine Cussans for life, then to her brother Thomas Cussans for life and then to her nephew Matthew Scott. She left £500 in consols to Sir Thomas William Holburne, and £1800 to his three sisters. Her residuary heirs were the children of Matthew Scott.
