Claimant or beneficiary

Biography

Grandson and legatee of Nathaniel Phillips of Slebech (q.v.). Nathaniel Cameron appears as claiming for the compensation for Pleasant Hill as legatee. Two Nathaniel Camerons were named among the beneficiaries in the will of Nathaniel Phillips of Slebech, one his grandson and the other his great-grandson (the latter the son of Nathaniel Phillips of Slebech's grandson Phillips Cameron, who had died in 1811). Nathaniel Cameron the grandson was left £2000; the great-grandson was left £1000 but appeared higher in the entail of Nathaniel Phillips' real property than his uncle. Genealogical material online not verified by LBS suggests that the great-grandson died in 1827.
