Robert Mitchell senior

Owner of Pembroke estate in Tobago. Father of Robert Mitchell junior.

1. Tentatively identified also as the Robert Mitchell who purchased Bacolet estate in Tobago from Thomas Walpole 01/07/1789.

2. He was president of the Council in Tobago in May 1806.

3. The will of Gilbert Petrie of Tobago, made c. 1805 and proved in 1820, included a trust fund of £12,000 set up for the benefit of the children of his nephew Robert Mitchell.
