Slave-owner on Nevis, fl. c. 1763-1771, apparently resident. He was party to a deed of 21/06/1763 with Edmund Akers under which he undertook to buy estates named there as Bridgwater and Abbots with 49 named enslaved people in St Thomas Lowland, Nevis for £8000, subject to Akers repaying his debts of £7000 to Hon. Francs Fane now the Earl of Westmorland and £2825 1s 4d to John Mills and Thomas Mills. He was also party to a deed of 1769 probably related to the Zetland estate, and was the owner of an estate adjacent to Tower Hill, tentatively identified by David Small and Christine Eickelmann as Paradise.
