Charles Winston ne Sandford, with an entry in the ODNB, as 'barrister and stained glass historian.' Great-grandson of Charles Winston (q.v.) and grandson of Sir Thomas Reid bart. (q.v.). In his will Sir Thomas Reid left £3000 to his grandson Charles Stanford and £5000 to his grandson Thomas Stanford, explaining the disparity by the settlement of 'West India property' under entail on the former.
