Will of Elizabeth Estwick wife of [Samuel Estwick of] St Michael Barbados [made 08/05/1766] proved 09/12/1766. She opened the will by explaining that her father John Frere had by his will dated 03/01/1766 left to her children Elizabeth Susannah Estwick and Charlotte Estwick and any other children she might have two bonds, one from her brother Henry Frere for £3869 6s 4d and one from the estate of her deceased brother Tobias Frere for £1366 19s to their [Henry and Tobias Freres's] father, with the interest to be applied by Samuel Estwick in the support of the daughters and the principal to be willed by their mother [the testator], which she did, leaving them equal shares. Under the will of her brother Tobias Frere dated 24/03/1763 she had the power to divide the £5000 he left her children, and again she left it equally between her daughters at 21. She appointed he husband Samuel Estwick as sole trustee. In a 'Memorandum' to the will Samuel Estwick gave his wife 'full power and authority to make and ordain this her last will.'
