Biography

  1. David Bravo was named in the will of Benjamin Bravo of St Andrew, planter, signed 1742 and proved in London 1744 as "my Loving Kinsman". David Bravo's children were given as Moses, Rebecca (wife of Jacob Henriques of St Catherine, planter), Leah and Sarah.

  2. David Bravo of Kingston, merchant. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1750. Slave-ownership at probate: 28 of whom 10 were listed as male and 18 as female. 12 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £28650.87 Jamaican currency of which £745 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £24521.69 currency debts and £188.63 currency plate.
