Clergyman and mortgagee of land on Nevis. He sold property inherited with his brothers from their father James Akers the elder. His own slave-ownership has yet to be established.
Son of James Akers of St Christopher, matriculated Brasenose 1783 aged 17. BA 1787, MA 1790. He appeared as a surrogate clergyman at Thame in Surrey in 1813.
By deeds of 01 and 02/06/1795, Sholto Archibald (q.v.) mortgaged his lands known as Beachs and Springett (previously owned by William Pemberton) to secure the debt of £3140 8s 10d he owed to Isaac Dupuy Akers and for which he had issued a bond of £6200. Akers was shown as late of St Kitts but then of the City of London clerk.
