Henrietta Neale Hepburn

1772 - 1834

Biography

Mother of Henrietta Gordon Hill (q.v.) and probably of William Hepburn jun. (q.v.).

  1. Will of Henrietta Neale Hepburn of Randolph Street Camden Town [made in 1831] proved 15/09/1834. The will opens with her revoking all previous wills 'particularly one executed by me in St Vincent in 1829 or 1830 after the death of my late husband which my son has asserted to be a deed of gift but which I meant as a revocable [sic].' She then left all her property to her daughter Henrietta Gordon Hill wife of John Hill, failing whom to her [the testatrix's] granddaughter Henrietta Mary Johnson [sic], the daughter of Henrietta Gordon Hill and John Hill.

  2. A Henrietta Neale was an annuitant under the will of Thomas Neale (q.v) as his widow. This will was made in 1773 and it appears likely that Henrietta Neale Hepburn was the daughter of Henrietta and Thomas Neale.
