Governor of Berbice from 1768 until his death in 1773. His daughter-in-law and grandchildren were among a group of Dutch claimants for Bylendaal and La Prudence estates in Berbice, of which de la Sabloniere had previously been owner.

Free woman of colour; left Demerara in 1812 as a young woman and settled in Starthforth, Yorkshire, where she died in 1862.
