Charles Greatheed-Bertie Percy

Son of Algernon, Earl of Beverley, and husband of Anne Caroline Greatheed, the daughter of Bertie Bertie Greatheed (q.v.): Charles Greatheed Bertie Percy was awarded compensation on St Kitts as a trustee of the estate of Bertie Bertie Greatheed. The estate in St Peter Basseterre that had been owned by Samuel Greatheed in the 1753 Samuel Baker map was shown as 'Charles Bertie Percy' in the 1828 William McMahon map.

1. (Lord) Charles Greatheed Bertie Percy, son of Algernon, Earl of Beverley. Matriculated Christ Church 15/05/1812 aged 18; BA 1815; MA 1818. Of Guy's Cliffe, Co. Warwick. MP Newport Cornwall 1826-1829. Took the additional names of Greatheed Bertie by Royal Licence 01/04/1826 (after the death of his wife's grandfather Bertie Greatheed: her father had predeceased him in 1804); died 11/10/1870.  

2. Will of the Honourable (commonly called Lord) Charles Bertie-Percy of Guyscliffe who died at Alnwick Castle Northumberland 11/10/1870 proved 07/12/1870 at Birmingham by the Honourable (commonly called Lady) Anne Caroline Bertie-Percy widow the Relict the sole executrix, effects under £160,000.
