1774 - 1851
Resident on St Kitts, awarded the compensation for the enslaved people under three small awards on St Kitts, and possibly also the more material compensation for the Heldens estate on St Kitts, which was shown as 'James Berridge' but which may have been his son James Samuel Berridge (q.v.). Somewhat surprisingly, he has an entry in the ODNB as 'colonial official and slave-owner.'
