Alexander Pearson

Edinburgh lawyer, awarded part of the compensation for Merchiston estate on Tobago after counterclaiming as assignee of Mrs Ann Napier (q.v.).

1. Alexander Pearson was identified as Writer to the Signet and as trustee of Sir Samuel Stirling (awarded the bulk of the compensation for Merchiston, as trustee of Archibald Napier) in 1848.

T71/891 Tobago no. 58, which identifies him as as of Edinburgh. Counterclaim from Alexander Pearson of Edinburgh as assignee of a beneficial interest [of Mrs Ann Napier assigned 28/09/1832 T71/1304] for £691 9s 4d with interest from 01/12/1831 at 5%.
