Biography

London lawyer, trustee for Major John Babington Nolan (q.v.) and his wife Elizabeth Hartley.

  1. In 1851 Thomas Pinkett aged 61 'Retired Solicitor' born Lambeth was living at Harbledown Lodge, Harbledown, Kent with his wife Elizabeth and two children aged 22 and 21 born Lambeth. He put Harbledown Lodge, near Canterbury' 'recently erected', up for sale in 1852. He was probably but not certainly the Thomas Pinkett then of 52 Chepstow Villas who died in 1877 leaving £7000: this man's age at burial was given as 87 in Q1 1877 at Kensington.

  2. The will of Thomas Pinkett Gentleman of [Moore Place] Lambeth Surrey proved 24/08/1839 is the will of Thomas Pinkett senior, the father of this man and also apparently a lawyer. In the will he left other property to his son Edward and Charles, but left his chambers at Essex Court and in Grays Inn Lane to his son Thomas, as well as £50 to his son Thomas' partner Frederick Davies.
