1754 - 15th Nov 1851
Lady Marjory or Margery Saltoun, nee Fraser, awarded one-third of the compensation for the Good Hope estate in British Guiana with Sir John Bayley, and also awarded one-third of the compensation for Castle Bruce in Dominica. Her brother Simon Fraser (d. 1793) had left monetary legacies to her daughters, but the Castle Bruce estate appeared to have belonged to her father Simon Fraser (d. 1810).
Daughter and heir of Simon Fraser of Ness Castle (c. 1726-1810), London merchant of 3 King's Arms Yard, Coleman Street, London. Appears to be the same as was a director of the East India Company: February 1791, 1793–6, 1798–1801, 1803–06.
Married Alexander, sixteenth Lord Saltoun of Abernethy (1758-1793). Children included: Alexander George Fraser, seventeenth Lord Saltoun of Abernethy (1785–1853) and army officer; and William (1791-1845) who was also a West Indian merchant.

Philips, ‘Alphabetical List of Directors of the East India Company from 1758 to 1858’, The Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, No. 4 (Oct., 1941), pp. 325-336. However, the Philips article gives his date of death as 1807 while Simon Fraser of Ness Castle died in London (in New Cavendish Street) 19 May 1810: Aberdeen Journal, 30 May 1810.
