Rt Hon Sir John Bayley was a lawyer of 2 Essex Court Temple, a judge on the kings Bench and Baron of the Exchequer. He acted as trustee for Lady Saltoun (q.v.), the daughter of Simon Fraser (q.v.), and her family.
Times 02/09/1853 p. 8 and 08/09/1853 p. 8, which sets out the spectacular conflict of Norton v Norton and the alleged adultery of Caroline Norton with Lord Melbourne.
