1801 - 1838
Awarded part of the compensation for the Tryall estate in Hanover Jamaica, as one of ten claimants whose ownership appears to have descended from Francis Acres (1700-1770) of Hanover.
A genealogical source suggests that Francis Acres Hyde's paternal grandmother Katherine Acres was born in Hanover Jamaica in 1730; her son by her husband John (d. 1776) was John Hyde of Lexham Hall, Norfolk and then of Montagu Square (1753-1835), whose will proved 18/05/1835 confirms Francis Acres Hyde as his son. A co-claimant, the Rev. George Sandby (q.v.), was the son of Mary Acres (the sister of Katherine Acres: both were daughters of Francis Acres).
