Thomas Bygrave, son of Thomas and Hannah Bygrave, born 18/09/1804 and baptised 14/01/1805 in Vere, Jamaica.
Richard Bygrave, son of Thomas Bygrave and Janet Rhoden, of May Day Hill, baptised in Manchester, Jamaica, 23/01/1835. Thomas Middlemore Bygrave, "an infant", baptised in Manchester, 26/06/1836 (no parents' names given). Mary Bygrave, baptised 13/12/1840 in Manchester. Janet Rhoden, "a negro" was baptised in Manchester 28/02/1824 as part of a large group of enslaved people "belonging to May Day Milk Plantation".
Thomas Bygrave MD of May Day Hill, buried 23/08/1848 at May Day Hill, age 44 years.
Will of Thomas Bygrave practitioner in physics and surgery of Manchester Jamaica [made in 1847 and lodged in Jamaica in 1849] proved 26/04/1851. He left his property in trust to be sold and the proceeds divided among his three natural children, John Bygrave, Thomas Middlemore Anderson Bygrave and Mary Bygrave, and Jane Bygrave the reputed daughter of Richard Bygrave deceased.
