Edward Hudson Clarke, resident planter but dying in Britain, received part of the compensation for the Enfield estate in Jamaica with other family members.
Appointed as overseer at Shettlewood by Isaac Jackson in 1842 as 'a man of experience'. Will of Edward Hudson Clarke formerly of Enfield Pen in the Island of Jamaica but late of 4 Oxford Row City of Bath who died 01/11/1872 at Oxford Row proved 18/03/1873 by his nephew William Clarke, effects under £300.
Baptised 09/10/1800 in Hanover, Jamaica, son of Charles James Clarke senior and Margaret.
